Course Description
Administering a 2014 Microsoft SQL Server Database is a hands-on course that will give you the knowledge and skills you need to maintain a Microsoft SQL Server 2014 database. In this course you will learn how to install and configure SQL Server 2014, Configure SQL Server databases and storage, plan and implement a backup strategy, restore databases from backups and import and export data. In addition you will learn how to monitor SQL servers, trace SQL server activity, manage SQL Server security, audit data access and encrypt data, perform ongoing database maintenance, automate SQL maintenance and configure database mail, alerts and notifications. You will also learn about the new memory features of the 2014 SQL Server database. This class includes 12 hands-on labs so you get all the experience you need to put your skills to work immediately. Because Microsoft currently covers both Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and 2014 in certification exam 70-462 this course addresses both the existing features of 2012 and the new and improved features of 2014.
